Temporary Closure: Chesney Wilderness Area
Starting Monday, November 10, 2025, Chesney Wilderness Area will be closed to the public to allow for plantation thinning operations. This closure is expected to last for approximately 4-8 weeks. Temporary Closure: Guelph Lake Rotary Forest
Please be advised that the Guelph Lake Rotary Forest will be closed November 4-6 to allow for the application of herbicides to control invasive shrubs including European Buckthorn. The closure will remain in effect for the day(s) the work is being completed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve the health of our watershed.
Elora Cataract Rail Trail: closure
Please be advised that on November 5 and 6, 2025, between 7am and 5pm, the Elora Cataract Rail Trail between 4th and 6th line will be closed due to the removal of hazardous trees. The closure impacts gates 13 through 18. The remainder of the trail remains open. Visitors are asked to respect the closure. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Puslinch Tract: changed conditions
Hazardous tree removal throughout Puslinch Tract has been completed, resulting in changes to site conditions. Riders are asked to use caution upon returning to the area.
Guelph Lake Conservation Area: beach closure
Please be advised the Island Beach and day-use beach areas at Guelph Lake Conservation Area have been closed due to low water levels. Visitors are asked to respect the closure. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Ongoing closure: Mill Ruins at Rockwood Conservation Area closed
The ruins of the Harris & Co. Rockwood Woolen Mill remain closed due to potential safety concerns.
