Accessibility

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is committed to providing accessible customer service to people with disabilities.

The GRCA Accessibility Plan (808KB PDF) outlines the steps we are taking to make our services accessible. The Annual Status Updates documents available in the following section highlight the progress made on specific steps outlined in the plan.

We also have an Accessible Customer Service Policy (507KB PDF) developed in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Shade's Mills Accessibility Upgrades

We are excited to initiate a new project at Shade's Mills Conservation Area to improve accessibility for our visitors. This project has two main areas of focus: improving the accessibility to the water, and establishing a quite space within a designated meditation grove.

Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback. More information about this project will be available on our Shade's Mills Conservation Area webpage when it becomes available.

This project has received funding through the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund.
